Project Hennessy Le Grand Voyage was one of the most ambitious and defining projects of my career. Conceived as a large-scale immersive experience in Brooklyn, New York, the installation invited audiences to journey through the heritage, craft, and global story of Hennessy cognac, a maison with over 250 years of history. The experience unfolded as a sequence of custom-built environments, each translating a chapter of the cognac-making process into space, atmosphere, and emotion.

Challenge The challenge was to transform centuries of tradition into a contemporary spatial narrative that felt experiential rather than instructional. The design needed to evoke time, climate, material, and transformation, while accommodating large visitor flows and maintaining narrative clarity across multiple environments. Each space had to function independently while contributing to a cohesive journey that balanced spectacle, craft, and intimacy at scale.

My Role Working at Hue & Cry Agency, I was part of the creative team and led the spatial and 3D design of the experience. I was responsible for shaping the environments, defining their form and sequence, and translating the creative vision into detailed 3D designs. I worked closely with NVE (New Vintage Entertainment), who led the production, to ensure the spatial intent was realised through complex builds and technical constraints.

Results & Impact Le Grand Voyage 2 became a benchmark for immersive brand storytelling within the spirits industry, welcoming thousands of visitors and generating strong cultural and media impact. The project was internationally recognised with the Red Dot Award in 2018, reinforcing how large-scale experiential design can reinterpret heritage brands in a contemporary and emotionally resonant way. It remains a defining example of ambitious, collaborative spatial design.
