KOZEL - EVENT ZONE
Project The Kozel Event Zone (also known as Kozel Village) is an adaptable brand environment designed for Velkopopovický Kozel, the iconic Czech beer brand founded in 1874. Inspired by the atmosphere of a traditional Czech village beer garden, the project translates Kozel’s playful identity and communal spirit into a large-scale experiential space, anchored by the brand’s iconic 9-metre wooden goat “Olda.”
Challenge The challenge was to design a flexible, modular event space that could travel across different sites while maintaining a strong sense of place and identity. The environment needed to feel robust yet welcoming, balancing hospitality, playfulness, and brand storytelling, while supporting social interaction, games, and large crowds in festival and urban contexts.
My Role Working with Purple Creative Agency, who curated the overall Kozel campaign, I led the spatial concept, 3D design, and visualisation of the Kozel Event Zone. I developed a scalable design framework that could adapt to multiple sites while maintaining a cohesive material and visual language. The goat “Olda” was integrated as both a symbolic landmark and functional centrepiece within the environment.
Results & Impact The Kozel Event Zone successfully transformed brand heritage into a memorable social experience. Its adaptable design allows it to operate across a wide range of events while retaining strong brand recognition, demonstrating how experiential design can translate cultural identity into a lively, engaging environment built around shared moments.
