Roby'story Collection- Mirror2 - Raro Design

Project Mirror 2 continues the narrative of the Roby’story collection but shifts the focus to a different emotional state: relaxation. Designed for Raro Design, this piece captures a specific moment in "Roby's" story, a day free from stress. It serves as a companion piece to Mirror 1, using similar materials and aesthetic language to complete the visual dialogue about work-life balance.

Challenge While Mirror 1 was about the tension of a working day, the challenge for Mirror 2 was to embody "A relaxing day" without losing the collection's signature graphic edge. The design needed to convey calmness and stability while retaining the bold, ideographic style that defines the series. It had to feel distinct from its predecessor yet clearly belong to the same family of narrative objects.

Design This mirror features a distinct, elongated form (130 x 68 cm) that suggests a more laid-back, expansive presence compared to the compact energy of Mirror 1. Crafted from the same high-quality PMMA and glass mirror, the design uses clean lines and bold coluor blocks to create a sense of composure. The visual balance of the piece is intentionally static and harmonious, representing a pause in the narrative where the character, and the user, can rest.

Results & Impact Mirror 2 successfully serves as the "exhale" to the collection's "inhale." It provides a calming visual anchor in an interior space, reinforcing the idea that our environment can influence our mood. By giving physical form to the concept of a "relaxing day," the mirror elevates a standard piece of furniture into a storytelling device that celebrates the quieter, easier moments of life.
