THE TAPSTER - PILSNER URQUELL FLAGSHIP BAR

Project The Tapster — Pilsner Urquell Flagship Bar reinterprets the Czech beer-hall tradition as a contemporary brand environment, celebrating the craft and ritual behind the world’s first pilsner, brewed in Plzeň since 1842. The space was conceived as a flagship destination where beer, culture, and social experience come together through design.

Challenge The challenge was to create a bar that felt both authentic and elevated, translating Pilsner Urquell’s brewing heritage and pouring rituals into a modern spatial language. The environment needed to support the precision of beer craft while remaining open, social, and inviting — balancing function, atmosphere, and brand storytelling.

My Role I led the 3D design, and visualisation for this flagship bar project, working with Purple Creative Agency and the client to translate Pilsner Urquell’s values into physical form. The brief was to create a space that felt simultaneously refined and convivial, where materiality, lighting, and circulation supported both functional bar flows and moments of discovery.

Results & Impact The Tapster flagship bar offers a distinctive, immersive expression of Pilsner Urquell’s identity, turning the act of drinking beer into a considered experience. The project strengthens the brand’s presence beyond the product itself, creating a space that celebrates authenticity, craftsmanship, and social connection.
