IO Village @ TOKEN2049 Singapore 2025
Project Brief I designed the Input Output (IO) Village, a large-scale experiential and exhibition environment for Input Output at TOKEN2049 Singapore 2025. Founded by Charles Hoskinson, Input Output operates at the intersection of research, infrastructure, and product innovation — an ecosystem brought together here as a single spatial narrative. The environment showcased IO’s portfolio, including Cardano, Lace, Hydra, Identus, Catalyst, Blockfrost, Leios, and Bitcoin-focused initiatives, evolving a concept I originally developed for Rare Evo 2025 into a more mature and scalable experience.
Challenge The challenge was to translate a wide, research-driven portfolio into a space that felt clear, cohesive, and engaging. Each product required visibility without fragmenting the overall experience, while the environment also had to support high-energy activations such as live programming, demos, and a Hydra-powered vending machine distributing laptops, wallets, and premium giveaways. The design needed to balance complexity and play, depth and immediacy, within a fast-paced conference setting.
My Role I led the creative direction, spatial design, and full artwork development for all printed materials, ensuring consistency across structure, graphics, and messaging. The design centred on the idea of flow, expressed through floating spheres suspended above the stand, symbolising data moving continuously through a blockchain network. These elements translated invisible digital processes into a physical presence, reinforcing IO’s role as foundational infrastructure while guiding visitors intuitively through the space that lead to the Midnight booth.
Results & Impact The IO Village became a strong visual and experiential anchor at TOKEN2049, supporting two days of talks, demos, and interaction. The project helped communicate the breadth and ambition of Input Output’s work with clarity and confidence, positioning the organisation as research-led, infrastructure-first, and future-facing. By turning a complex ecosystem into a coherent spatial experience, the design strengthened engagement and reinforced IO’s leadership on a global stage.
